Her classical performance degree from the WA Academy of Performing Arts supports experience across orchestras, choirs, bands and solo work. Kira's repertoire reaches beyond classical music into contemporary, Celtic, folk, world and experimental styles. You can request songs for special moments and choose a half sized lever harp or a full orchestral concert harp. She can also perform with singers, strings, percussion, guitar or flute, giving the solo harp a range of ensemble possibilities.

What to expect
Song requests are unlimited and they don't cost you anything, which matters more than it sounds when you're planning a ceremony and keep changing your mind. Kira answers messages promptly and turns up when she says she will. The playing itself is the reason to book her, but the admin around it is genuinely easy. Travel and harp cartage inside the metro area are included. If you need the harp amplified for a bigger room, that can be hired as well. She adapts to what you ask for rather than handing you a fixed programme.
On the day
A harp is heavy and awkward, so the biggest favour you can do her is close access with a ramp or a lift rather than a flight of stairs. Outdoors she needs shade, either provided or somewhere she can sit within reach of it. For large events, a PA system needs to come from your side.
Performance options
The two options come down to which harp turns up. The standard one is played on a half-sized lever harp. The deluxe brings the full-sized orchestral concert harp, which is the bigger, richer sound and a fairly striking thing to have in the room. Both include unlimited song requests, for background playing and for the special moments you want a particular piece under. Amplification can be added to either on request.
