The music is woven rather than plucked out song by song: ambient pieces of her own alongside classical, jazz, folk and popular material, with bright resonance in the high strings and a deep bass underneath. It fills an outdoor space as readily as an indoor one, which is not something you can say about most instruments this size.
The whole setup is portable and needs no power at all. That's the short version, and it's genuinely the whole requirement. It means she can play a clifftop elopement or a garden ceremony as easily as a function room.
