The Urban Gypsies played a lovely set, the tunes were recognisable and were fitting to the Gala Dinner. We appreciate the band was able to stay back for an extra 30 minutes. I look forward to your response. Best regards Thanks Manal REVIEWS
Urban Gypsies
The act
Fifteen years of instrumental Latin and jazz, with world music pulling at the edges. The Urban Gypsies swing between fiery guitar playing and quiet Bossa Nova depending on what the night needs, which is why they turn up at weddings and festivals as often as clubs. They have supported Buena Vista Social Club and Cassandra Wilson, and held residencies and concerts at The Basement, The Vanguard, Venue 505, Camelot, Cafe Sydney, Side On Cafe, Merivale, Riverside Theatre and the Seymour Centre. Three albums so far: Gypsy Fever, Sauvage and Beautiful Catastrophe. Book them solo, as a duo, a trio or a four piece.
