The Swell Sisters, Sweethearts of the 60s

The act

Three voices, GoGo boots and beehives, singing the girl groups of the 1960s. The Swell Sisters work through The Shirelles, Dusty Springfield, Dionne Warwick, Tina Turner, Lesley Gore, Connie Francis, Cilla Black and Petula Clark, stitched together with stories about love and lust that get a laugh. It works as a dinner show, or as a straight dance set, or a mix of both. There's a live band version and a backing track version with a big audio visual presentation. They need three radio mics and a vocal PA with staging and lighting, though for anything under 100 guests they can bring their own sound. Sydney based and fully insured.

Good to know

What to expect

Three voices in close harmony, from singers with genuine pedigree behind them. The nostalgia does a lot of the work, and so does the personality between songs.

On the day

Three radio mics and a vocal PA, plus staging and lighting that suits the room. The platform itself can be modest or a proper stage, whichever your venue runs to. Under 100 guests, they'll bring their own sound system instead.

Performance options

Two versions of the same show. One runs on backing tracks with a big audio visual presentation behind it. The other puts a live band on stage. Either way the material can bend towards a theme you've already set. Smaller events, under 100 guests, get the sound system included. And the format's up to you: a seated dinner show, straight dance music, or a bit of both across the night.
