60s Soul And Motown Tribute Show
The act
60s Soul And Motown Tribute Show is a Brisbane-based tribute band.
Eight musicians, horn section included, playing the sixties soul catalogue the way it was cut at Motown and at Stax and Atlantic. The songbook runs through Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Martha and The Vandellas and The Temptations, which means Dancing in the Street and Rescue Me for the dance floor, Let's Get It On when the room needs slowing, and Respect and Signed, Sealed, Delivered when it doesn't. Lead and backing vocals, keys, guitar, bass and drums fill out the rest of the stage. The players come from touring shows, other tribute productions and live theatre, and they're formally trained. Corporate and private events across southern Queensland keep booking them back.
