The Renaissance Rovers is a Melbourne-based musical duo.
A plucked psaltery and wooden recorder give The Renaissance Rovers a sound you could build a historically inspired wedding moment around. Lucy plays the psaltery and sometimes sings, while Jason carries melodies on recorder as the pair roams through the gathering. Their handmade Renaissance peasant costumes are Jason's work, accompanying tunes from medieval and Renaissance Europe including Greensleeves and Saltarello. That combination of period dress and old folk music feels particularly appealing for a couple who want their celebration to include a little encounter with another time while guests mingle.

Lucy and Jason arrive in renaissance peasant dress, hand made by Jason himself, who works as a costumier in Melbourne. Psaltery, recorder and voices carry a selection of tunes from medieval and renaissance Europe. The performance moves, rather than sitting in one spot, so the pair wander your event space and the music follows them around it.
