What to expect
Costumed characters, done at a level that holds up to close inspection from a five year old. Princesses, superheroes, mascots, impersonators and seasonal characters like Santa, elves and Cupid. The princess performers are trained actresses who sing live rather than mime along to a track, which is the detail that separates this from a costume hire. Kids get a character who stays in character and talks to them. They work birthday parties, stage shows and roving at larger events across Queensland, and shows can be built around a theme you've got in mind.
On the day
For a birthday party they turn up with everything needed to run their own itinerary start to finish, so you don't need to plan games or fill gaps. If you've already organised activities of your own, they'll fit around those instead. Staged shows depend on the technical setup of the venue, so that gets worked out case by case. Event roving needs a green room, somewhere private for performers to change and take a break out of sight.
Performance options
The shortest option is a 30 minute meet and greet, which suits a small party or a shopping centre appearance. Party packages run one to two hours. Shows are 30 minutes to an hour. For festivals and larger events, roving stints start at three hours. Face painting and balloon twisting can be added to any of it, which tends to be the thing that keeps a queue of kids happy while others are having their turn with the character.
