The act
Kristen has been leading teams since her school sport days, and she's now spent more than 20 years doing it professionally, the last ten of them overseas in senior management. She's worked inside corporates, education, not-for-profits and large global organisations, and lived in five countries along the way. Her speaking rests on one conviction: no organisation runs on the brainpower of one person. So she talks about building constructive workplace cultures led by compassionate, teamwork-minded people, across themes like self-leadership, resilient thinking and nurturing emerging leaders. She also runs Valeo Coaching and hosts the Secret Lady Biz podcast. Formats range from a 45 to 60 minute keynote or MC duties through to half-day workshops and full-day team building.

What to expect
Kristen builds her talks around three lines of thinking. The first is awareness, which covers self leadership, resilient thinking, wellbeing, motivation and how you spot the leaders coming up behind you. The second asks what one person can actually shift in the people around them, and it leans on purpose, gratitude and vision. The third is the workplace culture itself, and how a constructive way of communicating changes it. She researches properly and pulls the material together rather than reciting a list. And if none of those three quite fit your audience, she'll build the session around what does.
On the day
Not much is asked for. Seating for your audience, and depending on the format, the usual audio visual gear and a projector. A workshop needs more room to move than a keynote does, so tell her which one you're running and she'll confirm what the space has to do.
Performance options
There are four ways to book Kristen. A keynote runs 45 to 60 minutes. She'll also MC, anywhere up to three hours across your program. For something with more depth, a half day workshop takes up to four hours, and a full day of team building runs up to eight. The shorter formats suit a conference slot. The longer ones are where the group actually works through the material together.
