The act
Once dinner is finished, The Bad 80s Band could give your wedding reception an eighties feature complete with neon attitude and period costumes. The Sydney group includes songs associated with Madonna, Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper and Rick Astley in its decade focused repertoire. Costume changes, choreographed routines and mashups are part of the show, usually presented by a five piece band with the lineup open to discussion. A dedicated later reception set would give that theatrical eighties enthusiasm a place of its own, especially if you would enjoy making the look of the era part of the party.

What to expect
Full commitment to the decade, is the short version. Neon, mullets, leg warmers, and a complete costume change for every set. The Bad 80s Band play Madonna, Whitney Houston, Bon Jovi and Journey, plus Rick Astley, Cyndi Lauper, Rick Springfield and the B-52's, with choreographed dance routines and mashups stitched through the sets. They're as committed to the terrible parts of the era as the great ones, which is the whole joke and the reason it lands. Nobody's being ironic about it on stage.
On the day
They arrive with the full show: sound and lighting, both theirs. Your venue doesn't need a PA or any stage lighting of its own. And the music doesn't stop when the band steps off, because a DJ covers the breaks between sets, so you're not scrambling to plug a phone into something during the changeovers.
Performance options
Five pieces is the usual shape, and it's the one most events get. The line-up isn't fixed, though. If your room, stage or evening calls for something different, tell them what you need and they'll work out what's possible from there.
