The act
Once dinner gives way to dancing, Sweet Home Chicago could bring your wedding into the soul and blues world of The Blues Brothers. The show plays songs including 'Everybody Needs Somebody', 'Shake a Tail Feather' and 'Soul Man', with hats and shades part of its visual character. You can choose formats ranging from a duo through a seven piece group to the full twelve piece show band. Jake and Elwood are played by Dave Quin and Colin Hardcastle, while classic dance music from the fifties onwards can round out the evening. The songs come straight off the film: Soul Man, Gimme Some Loving, Shake a Tail Feather, Everybody Needs Somebody. All of them written to be sung back at the stage. The line-up runs anywhere from a duo through seven pieces to the full 12-piece show, so it fits a function room or a decent stage. Once the movie catalogue is done they can roll on into 50s, 60s and 70s dance music. Corporate nights, parties and venue gigs are the regular run.
