One Brazilian guitarist and singer, working through samba, bossa nova and MPB, which is Musica Popular Brasileira. Ricardo Steyer has picked the repertoire carefully and it shows: the songs are unusual, musically interesting, and a long way from the wallpaper version of Brazilian music. It's an intimate performance, best suited to rooms where you want the music to be genuinely worth listening to without it taking over the evening.
Simple either way. If the venue has a system, he needs two channels in the mixer, front of house PA and one foldback. If it hasn't, he can bring his own PA and microphones, in which case a power point is the only thing required from your end. Let him know which applies and he'll pack accordingly.
