The act
Couples interested in stories of leadership and life outside familiar territory could explore a spoken wedding feature with Reg, a retired SAS officer. His twenty two year Army career included service in Rwanda, East Timor and Iraq, and his talks draw on those experiences to discuss decisions, adversity and teamwork. Questions and conversation are welcomed during his sessions, so you can discuss how a contribution on courage or giving would fit the gathering you have planned. A dedicated listening moment after dinner feels like the place for that discussion, if the themes have particular meaning for you and the guests celebrating with you.

What to expect
Reg doesn't lecture at a room so much as take it somewhere. He commanded multi-national units on operations, briefed prime ministers and presidents, and was reviewing Collingwood's football department a while later, and the sessions draw on all of it to show an audience what's actually possible. He translates his own experience into what people can use in their own work. Questions and discussion are welcome all the way through rather than saved for the end. His talks carry titles like Elite Team Performance, Courageous Leadership and The Energy of Giving, along with Decision Making Under Pressure, Leading in Adversity, Thriving with PTSD, and one on living and learning outside the comfort zone.
On the day
Small rooms don't need a microphone at all, though Reg is happy to use one if it's there. For a larger audience a lapel mic is his preference and a handheld will do the job. He'd also like to be able to connect to a screen for slides.
