The act
Feathers, sequins and sparkle, delivered with a cheeky streak and no airs about it. Princess Laya is an Adelaide drag queen who can walk into a room already performing to surprise your guests, or mingle first and build to it, whichever suits the night you've planned. Up to two lip sync numbers, plenty of photos, and she'll host, run your games or handle the speeches if you want the microphone covered. Her material leans on the big show girl songs, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Madonna, Cher, Britney Spears. Request something specific and she'll learn it, given a week's notice. Stage, backyard or living room all work, as long as the surface is safe in heels. One firm rule: no dogs roaming loose while she performs.

Good to know
What to expect
Princess Laya arrives a few minutes early to sort out the music, which comes on a phone or a USB and plugs into your audio system by Bluetooth or an AUX cable. Then it's your call how she enters. Straight into a performance in full costume to surprise everyone, or in quietly to mingle first and build to it. Up to two songs, plenty of time among your guests, and plenty of photos. She can host the whole event or just rove through it keeping people engaged.
On the day
A stage, a crowd, a living room or a backyard all work. The one condition is that the surface is safe and high-heel friendly, so a soft lawn or an uneven deck needs a mention beforehand. One firm rule as well, and it's a sensible one: no animals roaming loose during the performance, dogs especially. That's to keep the dog safe as much as the performer.
Performance options
The shortest booking runs an hour with one or two lip sync numbers, mixing and mingling, photos, and she'll run any games or speeches you've got planned. Ninety minutes covers the same with more room to breathe. The longest option stretches across two to three hours and she hosts the whole thing, which is the one for a Melbourne Cup lunch or a trivia night. And there's a two queen version, with a pair of performers doing two numbers each.
