Melbourne Pianist Calvin
The act
Melbourne Pianist Calvin is a FOREST HILL-based pianist.
If you’re planning a classic Melbourne wedding, Melbourne Pianist Calvin is easy to picture in the room. He’s been the resident pianist at the RACV Club in the CBD since 2011 and holds the same role at the Athenaeum Club on Collins Street, which gives him a distinctly city-club kind of setting. Raised in regional Victoria, he won competitions and a piano scholarship before 18, then went on to perform across Melbourne for nearly two decades. In 2025 he appeared on the first season of ABC’s The Piano and received a standing ovation at Southern Cross station while Harry Connick Jr and Andrea Lam judged unseen. The spot in the day that feels most natural is as guests take their seats for the ceremony, when solo piano can set the tone without pulling focus.
