The act
Three decades of MC work, and it started in radio. Paul Marinelli announced through the late 80s until 1995, then set up his own PR company. Since then the microphone has taken him through conventions, product launches, media days and conferences at home and overseas. He's particularly well versed in the automotive and motorsport world, though he's fronted events across plenty of other industries too. Alongside the hosting he does voice over for television, radio and corporate video, and commentary at sports events. What he sells is preparation and detail: turning up well briefed, well dressed, keeping the running order on time, and making the room feel like it's part of something worth being at. Melbourne based.

Good to know
What to expect
Paul Marinelli arrives briefed and dressed for the room, and the running order stays on the clock while he has the microphone. Three decades of conventions and launches have taught him where an event usually slips behind and how to pull it back without the audience noticing. Guests come away feeling like they were part of something worth turning up for, which is most of the job for an MC and the part that separates a good one from a warm body with a lapel mic.
