What to expect
The shape of the job decides the shape of the answer. Patrick Duffy starts with a bit of back and forth over email, follows it with a phone call, and will sit down with you over a coffee if that helps pin down what the session actually has to achieve. Only then does a proposal turn up. What you get on the day is a room that laughs and a room that walks out with something it can actually use. Plenty of speakers manage one of those. References are available if you want to hear it from someone who has already booked him.
On the day
It shifts with the job, but the bare minimum is a lapel mic and a handheld. The lapel keeps his hands free, which matters for improvisation work, and the handheld goes out to the room when people are taking part.
