What to expect
Electric violin, and a repertoire that's genuinely wider than most. Classical pieces, jazz, pop, older favourites and current hits, plus culturally specific music including Bollywood numbers and Afghani wedding songs. There's a full set list you can read through and mark up beforehand, and requests on the day are fine. Octavia gets there around an hour early to meet you and settle in, so the music is sorted well before anyone needs to think about it. She reads the moment and adjusts, which matters more than any list does.
On the day
The whole rig runs off one standard power outlet. She brings her own portable PA along with the electric violin, so the venue doesn't need to supply audio. Setup is quick and takes up very little floor. Indoors or outdoors both work. She'll usually arrive about an hour ahead to meet you and go through the running order.
Performance options
Weddings get built in pieces, and you take only the pieces you want. The ceremony option covers guest arrival, the aisle, the register signing and the exit. There's a separate one for the drinks hour while people are mingling. Another covers dinner and the evening, quieter through the meal and livelier once things loosen up. Or you take the lot and have music running from the ceremony through to the end of the night. Corporate functions, private parties and proposals are handled the same way.
