The Swing Sisters Show is a Sydney-based musical duo.
This is for a couple who'd rather fill their wedding with wartime swing, old Hollywood flavour and a bit of singalong than chase a current pop set. The Swing Sisters Show centres on the era's much loved voices, from the Andrews Sisters and Vera Lynn to Edith Piaf, with post war classics linked to Judy Garland and Doris Day as well. Lisa Page and Kirsty Jeffrey have been doing this act since 2005, using their vocal and dance backgrounds and 40s styling to recreate the performers, not just sing the songs. That makes them easy to picture through canapes or dinner, especially if you'd like guests humming along while the room settles in. The moment that feels right is dinner leading into speeches, when those familiar swing era songs can add warmth without asking for the dance floor yet.
