Matthew turns up an hour before he plays, sets up and sound checks, so nothing is being sorted out while your guests are arriving. The playing itself is pitched to the moment: something romantic and quiet for a ceremony, something smoother for cocktails, or electric violin with real punch behind it when the dance floor opens. He talks to your coordinator, celebrant or DJ beforehand so the cues are agreed and nobody is guessing about when the aisle music starts.
A standard power outlet, and a flat dry patch to play on with shade or shelter if you're outdoors. He needs less than two metres of space, so he fits into corners that a band never would. Parking near the venue helps for unloading. He brings his own speakers, wireless gear and backing tracks, and if you've got a DJ he can run through their system instead.
