Paul reads the run sheet before he reads the room, and both matter. He's played casinos, the Melbourne Arts Centre, the Spirit of Tasmania, Eureka 89, the Hyatt, Butleigh Wootten, Brighton International, Montsalvat, and a long list of festivals, weddings and corporate functions. Solo it's acoustic guitar and vocals, expandable to a duo, trio or full band. The repertoire runs from ambient background playing through to dance sets, taking in jazz ballads, pop, funk, rock and reggae, with Adele, the Beatles, Van Morrison, Bill Withers and Robbie Williams all on the list. He understands how weddings and corporate nights are structured, so the volume and style shift with the stage of the night. Fully self equipped with a PA sized to the room, battery or generator powered when there's no mains. MC duties available.

Good to know
What to expect
Paul knows how a wedding and a corporate night are structured, and he plays to that structure. Quiet and ambient while people are arriving and eating, then more push when the night wants it. Volume and style shift with the stage of proceedings rather than sitting at one setting all evening. The repertoire covers jazz ballads through pop, funk, rock and reggae, so there's dance material there when you need it. He's friendly and easy to have around, which matters more than people expect over a long night.
On the day
He's fully self equipped and brings a PA sized to your space and crowd, so you don't need to arrange sound. He can also play without amplification if the room is small or the moment calls for it. Where there's no mains power, battery or generator power can be organised instead, which makes outdoor and remote spots workable.
Performance options
Solo is the starting point, and it grows from there. A duo, a trio, a four piece, whichever suits the room. He can run the MC side too, so one person carries the whole evening, and he can perform the ceremony as well as the reception. Ask about any of these when you enquire and he'll tell you what works for your event.
