Improvisation is what sets FABBA apart from the average tribute show. Yes, it's ABBA: the costumes, the hits, plenty of songs from Mamma Mia, all played by a live band. But the team read the audience and reshape the show as they go, so no two nights run quite the same. You can steer it toward a dance party, an interactive comedy show, or a mix of both. The song list runs from Waterloo and SOS through to Thank You For The Music, usually as two 60 minute sets. A four piece with live keys and guitar suits smaller rooms and budgets; the six piece brings the full band experience.

What to expect
It's ABBA, but the show bends to the room. FABBA arrive with the costumes and the hits, and a live band rather than a backing track, then read what the crowd in front of them actually wants. Some nights that means a straight dance party. Others it turns into an interactive comedy show, or lands somewhere between the two, and you get a say in which. The improvising is the reason the same band can work a wedding, a corporate night or a club floor without the show feeling recycled. Mamma Mia songs get a decent run.
On the day
Bring the production and lighting crew in early. That's two to three people depending on how big the room is, and they'll want access three to four hours before your guests start arriving. It's worth building that into the venue booking rather than squeezing it, because a costumed show with full lighting takes longer to rig than a pub band setup.
Set List
The full ABBA catalogue is on the table, and the two 60 minute sets get picked out of it on the night. Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, SOS, Fernando, Money Money Money, Knowing Me Knowing You, The Winner Takes It All and Thank You For The Music are all in there, along with the deeper ones: Andante Andante, Kisses Of Fire, Summer Night City, When I Kissed The Teacher and On And On And On. Voulez Vous and Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! usually turn up when the floor's already full.
Performance options
Two line-ups. The four piece runs on live keyboards and guitar, and it's the one to ask about if the room's tight or the set is short. The six piece is the full band version, better suited to a bigger event with space to fill.
