The act
Before the event even starts, Ailsa Page has already been to work: a planning meeting, the run sheet, speaking notes and technical checks all get sorted with you in advance. She's a professional MC and speaker with more than 25 years' experience, and her background as a marketing strategist shows in the way events hold their shape, from facilitation and Q&A moderation to panel interviews and business awards nights. Networking events are a particular strength, and she can build a facilitated networking session into the program. A Certified Speaking Professional with Professional Speakers Australia, based in Newport in Melbourne's west, with public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

Good to know
What to expect
Most of the work happens before your guests arrive. Ailsa sits down with you first to understand what the event is actually for, then the two of you go through the run sheet together, sort out the speaking notes, agree on the tone you want and work through the technical side. So by the time she's holding a microphone, she already knows where the night is meant to go and what has to happen before it gets there. That's the difference between an MC who reads a running order and one who keeps the thing on its feet.
On the day
A microphone and speakers, and that's the list. If your venue or your production crew is already supplying sound, she'll work with whatever's there. If not, she can bring her own gear instead. Just flag which way you're going when you enquire so it's settled early.
Performance options
Beyond straight MC work, Ailsa runs facilitated networking sessions built into the program, so the mingling part actually goes somewhere. She hosts panel interviews start to finish, which takes the whole job off your plate. Pre event entertainment can be arranged. And business awards nights are a regular booking, with the entertainment either side of the presentations sorted as part of it.
