The act
Songs you know but rarely hear live. That's the pitch from Wild Notes Band, a five piece working across Melbourne and greater Victoria with two tracks apiece from Phil Collins, The Police, Toto, Tears for Fears, Hall and Oates, INXS, Skyhooks, Mondo Rock, The Doors, Steely Dan and plenty more. A standard night runs three fifty minute sets with a ten minute break, plus music between sets and a spare mic for speeches. They turn up early, set up, and keep it relaxed. Volume gets adjusted for venues that need a quieter band. Lights and PA come with them, and the footprint is small for a five piece, roughly four metres by three. Minimum forty five songs a gig.

What to expect
They turn up early, get set, and stay relaxed about it. A normal night from Wild Notes Band is three sets of fifty minutes with a ten minute break, worked out with your venue beforehand rather than assumed. Between the sets there's music playing, so the room doesn't drop into silence while the band steps off. Full lights come along, and so does their own PA. There's a spare mic sitting ready for announcements and speeches, which saves someone scrambling for one halfway through the evening.
On the day
Five players, but a small footprint. Three to four metres across and two to three metres deep is all the room they take up. Beyond that the band is self contained, so the only thing coming from your venue is ordinary 240 volt power.
