The act
The Shine is a Brisbane City-based wedding band.
What stands out straight away is that every person in The Shine both sings and plays, so you get layered harmonies as well as a full band sound. They're a five piece from Brisbane with lead and rhythm guitars, bass, keys and drums, covering Top 100 favourites from the 70s and 80s through to current hits. Rock, country, disco and pop all turn up in the mix, which gives them plenty of room to shift gears across a wedding night. That could land nicely during dancing, especially if you want familiar songs from a few different eras instead of sticking to one style. A relaxed crowd with mixed ages and broad taste would probably get the most from this band.
