The act
Sydney four and five piece built for the whole wedding day, from the aisle to the last song of the night. The ceremony gets acoustic love songs and up to three requests of your own choosing. Drinks and dinner lean soul, soft pop and jazz-flavoured standards. Then the reception turns over to pop, R&B, funk and the floor-fillers people came for. Every member works as a full-time musician in the pop and R&B scene, so the rehearsal is done before they arrive. They bring their own PA and instruments, want about an hour to sound check before guests do, and travel for destination weddings as readily as local ones. Public liability cover is in place and the electrics are tested and tagged.

What to expect
In the Eiris cover the whole wedding day, ceremony through to the last dance, and they shape the performance around your style rather than running a standard show. Soulful vocals over tight playing is the short description. They turn up rehearsed and dressed for the occasion, which sounds obvious until you've had a band that wasn't. Ahead of the day they'll work with you, or with your planner if you have one, so the timing, the song choices and the flow of the night are all agreed well before anyone walks down an aisle.
On the day
A flat, covered performance area, roughly four metres by three for the four piece. A standard 240V power outlet within reach. Enough light to set up under and to play in. They'd like an hour before guests arrive to sound check. Outdoors, the instruments and gear need protection from the weather. They bring a basic PA and their own instruments unless your venue has full backline, and a stage or extra lighting can be arranged with notice.
Performance options
Four shapes to pick from. Ceremony only runs one to three players, an acoustic vocal duo or trio, up to 45 minutes of music with three songs of your own choosing. Reception only is the full four or five piece for dinner and dancing, up to three hours, with playlists between the sets, three requests and a basic sound system. Ceremony plus reception joins the two and covers the cocktail hour in between. Full day wedding stretches to six hours across the ceremony, drinks, dinner and dancing, with a DJ available on request. Travel and accommodation are arranged separately for weddings away from home.
