Sonia Valentine sings, with Peter Hope or Jack Delaney on acoustic guitar, and both are trained musicians. Hobart based, and the repertoire is genuinely large: 60s through to 2025, chilled or up tempo, most genres represented. Two thirds of it is straight guitar and voice, the rest uses a backing track, and those can be stripped back to acoustic if that suits your room better. Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, the Beatles, Clapton and Nina Simone all feature. They'll take a few requests and shape the sets around the event, up to four of them. Community events, weddings, licensed venues and private parties are their usual work. A power point is the only real requirement.

Good to know
What to expect
The standard booking is two 45 minute sets, around eleven songs in each. Hour long sets are an option instead if that fits your run sheet better, and you can add further sets on top, up to four in total. A PA can be brought along if the room hasn't got one, with lighting and recorded music covering the breaks between sets. Invoicing and receipting are handled properly for anyone who needs the paperwork.
On the day
One power point, and that really is the whole list for a straight guitar and voice booking. Should you want them to bring a PA along, because the room has nothing of its own, allow twenty minutes for it to go up before the first song. Worth deciding which of the two you're after when you enquire, since it changes what time they need to be through the door.
