Good to know
What to expect
Declan Nicholls and Ryley Adams have 24 years of professional playing between them, and the repertoire runs past 180 songs, old and new. Ed Sheeran, Cold Chisel, The Beatles, Bill Withers, Crowded House, Chris Stapleton, Vance Joy, Frank Sinatra. The point of a duo like this is the shift. Ambient and relaxed while people arrive or during a ceremony, then upbeat once the night has found its feet. They cover Brisbane and the surrounding areas, turn up well presented and well prepared, and take requests.
On the day
One acoustic guitar and one microphone, which is about as light a footprint as live music gets. The PA can come from them if you need it. All that's required from the venue is a single power point within reach of where they're playing.
Performance options
Weddings can be covered in a few different shapes depending on how much of the day you want music through. Full day is the widest. Or you can pick out the parts that matter most: ceremony, canapes and dinner, or just ceremony and dinner, or dinner through to the reception. Two extras sit alongside those. Declan or Ryley can take on MC duties, and a PA can be supplied with an optional microphone for speeches, which is handy if the venue hasn't got one.
