Tim plays solo around Newcastle with a stomp box and a loop pedal, which is how one performer ends up sounding like considerably more than one. It gives the set rhythm and texture underneath the guitar and vocals. The repertoire is broad enough to swing either way on the night, from easy listening while people eat and talk to upbeat covers once the room warms up. Songs run through Crowded House, Fleetwood Mac, Cold Chisel, INXS, Bill Withers, Ed Sheeran, Vance Joy and plenty more. He brings his own PA and lighting, and would rather be under cover if the gig is outdoors. Insured.

Good to know
What to expect
One bloke, a guitar and a voice, but the stomp box and loop pedal thicken it out until the sound sits closer to a small band. That gives Tim rhythm and texture to work with, and it means the set can shift as the night does. Early on it stays easy and low, the sort of thing people talk over while they eat. Later he lifts it into party covers. The song book is wide enough that he can read which way your room wants to go and follow it.
On the day
Tim turns up with his own PA and his own lighting, so the sound and the look are handled without you chasing gear. If the gig is outdoors, he'd rather be under some sort of cover, so a marquee, a verandah or a roofed deck is worth sorting in advance.
