The first gathering on your wedding dance floor could have a full swing band behind it with The WellSwung Daddies. Ten musicians include five horn players, male and female vocals, double bass, guitar, piano and drums, creating a broad instrumental sound. They perform original songs alongside big band classics, drawing on swing, jive, jazz and rock and roll with arrangements informed by original recordings. The dance crowd travels from Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Victoria and New South Wales. Venues along the coast know them well. The Beach Hotel and The Rails in Byron Bay, Sanctuary Cove, the Morrison Hotel in Brisbane, and a SwingKatz night at The Greenhouse Tavern down in Coffs Harbour.
