Good to know
What to expect
Celtic and Australian tunes, played to be sung along with and tapped through. The Stovies turn up as a duo, a trio or a four piece, and which one suits comes down to the size of your event and how much room you've got. Whichever shape you go for, they can bring all the equipment needed, so a bare hall or an open paddock is as workable as a venue with a rig already installed.
On the day
If the sound is coming from your end, they need two 1000 watt speakers, a foldback wedge on top of that, and a twelve channel mixer. Don't have it? They carry professional sound gear themselves and can cover an event of any size, so it's worth asking rather than hiring separately.
Performance options
Packages combine three things, and you can take any mix of them. There's the music itself, ceilidh dancing if you want the crowd on their feet and being taught steps rather than just listening, and event planning for the parts of the day around the entertainment.
Insurance and paperwork
Public liability insured, Working with Children Check.
