The act
Formed on the Gold Coast in 2017, the Jazz Kings landed early bookings at Twin Towns, Harrigans and the Gold Coast Jazz Club. Nicole Parker-Brown later joined as vocalist and the band has since played venues everywhere between Hervey Bay and Evans Head, plus the Bravo Cruise of the Performing Arts sailing out of Sydney in October 2024. The repertoire runs past a thousand songs, so the set gets chosen around the room: dinner music, dance sets, Gatsby nights, weddings, corporate functions, festivals and jazz clubs. Each player brings a CV taking in television, radio and musicals. Sound and lighting can be supplied if the venue can't. They hold public liability cover.

Good to know
What to expect
This is a jazz band with real venue history behind it. The Jazz Kings formed in 2017 and were picked up straight away by Twin Towns, Harrigans and the Gold Coast Jazz Club. Nicole Parker-Brown then joined on vocals and brought her own jazz sound, and bookings followed everywhere from Hervey Bay down to Evans Head, plus a Bravo Cruise of the Performing Arts sailing from Sydney to the South Pacific in October 2024. Every player has a background taking in television, radio, musicals and recording work, backing well known names along the way. They read an audience and adapt to it. Two albums exist as well: Out of Nowhere from December 2020, and Blue Jazz from January 2024, which has had radio play in Australia and overseas.
On the day
A sound system and lighting come with the band whenever the venue can't provide them. If your room is already fitted out, they'll happily use what's there.
