The act
Standard rock covers get skipped here. The Hit-Slingers dig instead for the melodic pop rock of the 70s, 80s and 90s that people forgot they loved, which means Red Hot Chili Peppers, REM, U2, Bowie, Coldplay and The Cars sitting next to Oz rock like Dragon, Hoodoo Gurus, The Cruel Sea and Sunny Boys. It's a party band first, built to fill a dance floor rather than showcase anyone. Based at Manly and working across Sydney for functions, pubs and private parties. They bring the lot, so there's nothing for a venue to supply.

What to expect
The setlist is a hunt through the 70s, 80s and 90s for songs you loved once and stopped thinking about. Not the same handful every covers band reaches for. When one of them starts up, the reaction in the room is usually somebody turning to a mate and saying they had forgotten this one existed, and then heading for the dance floor anyway. That is the whole point of the band. It is built to get people up and keep them there, not to be admired from a table.
