The act
For a wedding with a fondness for vintage dress and vocal harmony, The Gowrie Gals have a lovely sense of occasion. Their three voices draw inspiration from wartime entertainers, with costumes and choreography accompanying music mainly from the forties and a few later selections. A guitarist accompanies them, with violin and double bass also possible, giving you a choice about the live ensemble around those harmonies. You could choose a show lasting an hour or have them roam and engage with your guests, a format that feels especially welcome as everyone gathers for drinks.

What to expect
Photos, mostly. That's what happens when The Gowrie Gals work a room - guests want a picture with them, and by the second chorus a few are singing along whether they meant to or not. Three-part harmony, period costume, and a guitarist behind them at minimum, with a violinist and a double bass player available on top of that. It lands best where the setting already has some history to it: vintage car meets, transport and military days, retirement villages, family gatherings. They'll travel, and they genuinely like trains and old planes, which tells you something about why the act works.
