The Dead Ends

The act

Big loud singalongs from three decades, weighted heavily towards pop-punk and rock. The Dead Ends work out of Gawler and lean on Green Day and Blink-182, Jimmy Eat World, The Killers, Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, Jet, Oasis, Powderfinger and The Living End, with the set list shaped around whoever is in the room. They turn up on time and bring professional sound and lighting. Three or four 45-minute sets are the usual shapes, and they can cover a full evening of up to five hours with breaks, with DJ playlists filling the gaps at no extra cost. Insured, with all equipment maintained and tested. They need a performance area of about five by three metres, shelter outdoors, and parking close by.

Good to know

What to expect

Loud singalongs, mostly pop-punk and rock across three decades. Green Day, Blink-182, Jimmy Eat World, The Killers, Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, Jet, Oasis, Powderfinger and The Living End. The Dead Ends build the set list around whoever is actually in the room rather than running the same night twice, so a 30th and a club gig get different treatment. They turn up on time and bring professional sound and lighting with them. It's a high-energy show aimed squarely at getting people singing back at the stage, which most of these songs do on their own.

On the day

A performance area of about 5m by 3m at minimum, with a standard 240V outlet within ten metres of it. Outdoors, they need shelter. Parking that's safe and a loading path near the door makes a real difference, because there's a fair bit of gear to move. Allow 60 to 90 minutes for set-up before they play and 45 to 60 minutes for pack down afterwards, and check that against when your venue actually wants everyone out.

Performance options

Three shapes, depending on how long you need filled. Three 45 minute sets, four 45 minute sets, or full evening entertainment running up to five hours with breaks worked in. Whichever you pick, DJ playlists can run between the sets so the room never sits in silence while the band is off stage, and that's included rather than added on.
