Two lead singers, one male and one female, trading songs across the night. That's the thing worth knowing about THE BLISS BAND, because a repertoire that keeps changing voice doesn't flatten out at eleven o'clock the way a single-singer set can. Hundreds of weddings behind them, most of them regional Australia and the capitals. The book runs past two hundred songs, so dinner music is covered and then three up-tempo dance sets after it. Setup finishes at least half an hour before your doors open. If your venue insists on its own sound system and crew, that's fine with the band, and if it doesn't, they'll quote their own rig in. No stage required. Sunshine Coast based, insured, and comfortable working inside council noise limits.

Good to know
What to expect
Two singers, one bloke and one woman, handing the songs back and forth all night. That's the difference you'll hear. A set built on one voice tends to flatten out late in the evening, and this one doesn't. The book runs past two hundred contemporary songs, so dinner gets its own quieter treatment and then three up-tempo dance sets follow it. Hundreds of weddings sit behind them, most of them in regional Australia and the capitals, which shows in the small stuff: knowing when to talk to a floor and when to leave it alone.
On the day
Tell THE BLISS BAND! what time your doors open and they'll be packed up and finished at least half an hour before then. Plenty of Australian venues insist the band runs through the in-house system with the venue's own engineer mixing, and that's no trouble at all. If yours doesn't require it, say so and they'll quote their sound and lighting rig in. A stage isn't compulsory. It does make any band look and sound better though, so if the venue has one, use it. Around 12 feet by 8 is the preferred footprint, and more is welcome.
Performance options
The line-up isn't fixed. You can add a saxophone, extra singers or a small brass section on top of the core band. Arrival time isn't fixed either. Six o'clock is the usual, but they'll come earlier if your guests are in the room before that. And the shape of the night bends the same way: a straight dance-floor set from the first song, or a cocktail set or two up front for a slower, dressier start, then the party after. Tell them what the evening needs to feel like and they'll put the options in front of you.
