The act
Five years of playing together shows up in the small things. Tessa Power and Adam Kiyuna have worked pubs and events right across Queensland, out of Blackwater, and they get a fuller sound from one voice and one guitar than the format suggests. Classics from most eras and genres get a few of their own touches rather than a straight copy. They also don't run the night by a stopwatch, so breaks happen when they make sense for the room. A PA comes with them if your venue hasn't got one, though you'll need something to play music through during breaks. They ask for parking near the load-in and about an hour before the start for setup and soundcheck.

Good to know
What to expect
Tessa and Adam play to the room, not to a schedule. Breaks land where the night wants them rather than on a fixed timetable, so a good stretch on the dance floor is not cut short because the clock says so. One voice, one guitar, and a bigger sound than that suggests after five years of playing as a pair. Their focus is squarely on your guests enjoying the evening.
On the day
If your venue has no PA, the duo bring one. What they do ask for is something to play recorded music through while they are off, an iPod or a phone will do the job. Keep a parking spot free near where gear comes in and out. Allow roughly an hour ahead of the first song for setting up and sound checking.
