The act
Longreach is a long way from most things, which makes a local musician who can cover jazz, pop, soul, R&B and country genuinely useful. Taliesha Harris plays weddings, corporate functions, private events, funerals and venues that want live music rather than a playlist. Song choices get worked out with you beforehand, and she can learn a specific song for the day. There's a jazz side to the work too, performed under the Belle Cat Jazz name. She arrives a couple of hours early, sets up and packs down herself, and needs a power point and about two metres square. Outdoor events need shade for the instruments. Bigger rooms or crowds over 80 may want extra sound.

What to expect
You get a say in the songs. Taliesha Harris Music works through the setlist with you beforehand, and if the day needs a particular song she doesn't already play, she'll learn it. A song can be written for the occasion as well if you want something nobody else has. On the day the music sits at a level that fills the room without making people raise their voices at the table, which for weddings, funerals and dinners is usually the whole trick. Jazz, pop, soul, R&B or country, or a mix, depending on what the room is for.
On the day
A standard power outlet and about two metres by two of space to play in. Outdoors, she'll need shade or cover over that spot, since instruments and gear don't cope with sun or rain. If you've got more than eighty guests or the room is large and open, extra sound reinforcement is worth discussing, otherwise the music thins out at the back. She arrives at least two hours ahead and does her own set up and pack down, so nobody from your side needs to be involved in either.
