What to expect
A typical night opens with relaxed background jazz over drinks and canapes, often from an acoustic duo or trio, sometimes in a separate space to the reception room. A vocalist joins for dinner with jazz standards, quiet enough that people can still talk across the table. Then the speeches finish, the energy lifts and the popular material comes out. They'll arrange your favourite song for the first dance. Around a hundred weddings a year means they know the well-known Sydney venues from the inside, which shows up in small ways: a decent sound out of a hard room, and an easy working relationship with the function coordinator.
On the day
Ordinary household power is the whole requirement. Nothing three phase, nothing unusual, just normal outlets near wherever the band ends up playing. That keeps the logistics simple even when the line-up grows, and it means a balcony or a separate space for the arrival drinks is as workable as the main reception room.
