Chasing the Moon is an Annandale-based swing band.
Hot Club jazz is the first thing your guests would catch here, with swing at the centre and Latin, blues and some more modern sounds folded through it. This Sydney six piece is led by vocalist and violinist Kathy Bluff with saxophone and flute player Paul Burjan, and the many years they've played together comes through in the way those parts sit side by side. With guitar, piano accordion, double bass and drums filling out the band, and solos passed from one player to another, it could sit very comfortably through canapes or dinner at a wedding. They've released two albums, Nuages and Ooh La La, and both have had airplay on ABC Jazz, 2MBSFM and Eastside Radio. Around Sydney, Chasing the Moon are regulars at venues including Foundry616, Leichhardt Bowling Club, Humph Hall, Sydney Jazz Club and Camelot Lounge.
