The act
Opera, musical theatre and popera, sung by a soprano and a baritone tenor who talk to the room between numbers. Swellegant work as a floor show rather than background music, weaving stories through the songs, and the material is the famous stuff for a reason: O Mio Babbino Caro, Libiamo from La Traviata, songs from Phantom and Cats, The Prayer, Time To Say Goodbye. Sets run 20, 30 or 45 minutes. Requests are welcome with enough notice to prepare them properly. They bring their own microphones and can supply a PA, or share with whoever is playing the rest of the night. A sound check helps, and so does somewhere safe to leave their things. Both performers hold Victorian Working With Children Checks and are insured.

Good to know
What to expect
A soprano and a baritone tenor, both classically trained, working the floor rather than filling the background. They talk between numbers and thread stories through the music, so it plays as a show with a shape to it. The songbook is opera aria, musical theatre and crossover favourites. Sets come in 20, 30 or 45 minutes, and the room tends to end up laughing, teary and singing along in roughly that order.
On the day
They always travel with their own microphones and track devices. Where another musician or DJ is covering the rest of the evening, sharing that person's PA is usually the tidiest arrangement, and they're glad to perform with live players too. Otherwise they can supply a PA themselves. A sound check before doors makes a real difference, and they'll want somewhere secure to leave their things while they're on.
