The act
Two decades of solo work sit behind Stu, and his set shifts as the night does. Early on it's nylon string fingerstyle, quiet enough to talk over. Then the steel string comes out as the drinks flow, and by the end he's standing up with an electric guitar running a singalong. Weddings are his favourite kind of booking and he'll email his repertoire through so you can pick the songs for each part of the day, including learning a special one if you give him notice. For pub, club and restaurant work he picks the list to suit the venue, and he takes direction if you want it lifted or pulled back. Brings everything including lights, and has EFTPOS on the night. Wynnum based. Blue card current.

Good to know
What to expect
Stu reads a crowd, which after two decades of solo gigs is close to automatic. He turns up when he said he would, gets set up without making a production of it, and the sound is sorted before anyone notices him doing it. What follows is the right mix of songs for the people actually in the room, whether that's twenty in a backyard or two hundred at a reception. Feel-good rather than showy.
On the day
Stu carries the lot, lights included. From you: somewhere to stand, and shelter over the electrical gear if any part of the night is outdoors. Payment on the night isn't a scramble either, since he runs EFTPOS and nobody has to find cash.
Performance options
Weddings are the booking he likes best, and he shapes the music across the whole day rather than treating the reception as the only bit that counts. He'll email his repertoire through so you can mark up exactly what you want played and when, ceremony through to the last dance. Give him notice and he'll learn a song that means something to the two of you.
