The act

Soultown is a Brisbane-based soul band.

What stands out first is the scale of it: an 8 piece soul and Motown tribute with lead and backing vocals, keys, guitar, bass, drums and a horn section, plus period style dressing and full sound and lighting. The set draws from the Motown and Stax Atlantic songbooks, with artists such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and The Temptations in the mix. For a wedding, that points neatly to a dance floor set, especially if you want the room moving with songs like Dancin' in the Street or Shake Your Tail-feather, then easing back with Let's Get It On.
