Smooth Grooves play rhythm and blues, jazz and modern pop as a trio, with drums, guitar, keys, sax and vocals. The lead singer holds down the bass line, keys and sax riffs using loop pedals, which is why three players sound like more. Members of the group have supported INXS, Train and Evermore among others. It's a Perth act, and it suits a cocktail function or a wedding where you want something with groove but not volume for its own sake.
