Three performers cover the whole night: a DJ, a percussionist and a saxophonist. Sincopa open with softer background music while guests arrive and eat, often sending the saxophonist roaming the room over backing tracks, then turn up the tempo when it's time to dance, with live percussion and sax driving the set. There's no fixed song list. Disco, rock, dance, pop, RnB, house and retro classics are all in play, and requests are welcome. The Sydney trio perform up to 90 minutes live, usually split into two or three sets, with the DJ playing through the rest of the event. Sound system and show lighting travel with them.

The idea is that music never stops, from the first guest through to the last song. While people are arriving and eating, the DJ keeps things soft in the background, and the saxophonist wanders the room playing over the top, which lifts the mood without anyone needing to stop talking. Then the dancing part starts and the trio push it hard. Popular party songs, played to get people up and singing rather than politely watching. Upbeat and interactive is the whole speciality.
They ask for three hours of venue access before the event to get set up. Performance space needed is roughly 6 metres by 2.2 metres.
There's no fixed list, which is deliberate. Any request is possible, and they'll shape the music around what your event actually is: a wedding reception, a corporate function or a private party each want a different feel. Disco, rock, dance, pop, RnB, house and retro classics are all fair game.
