That's the sort of run Side Project put together, and it's why they turn up just as happily at a 21st as they do at a pub gig or a corporate night. The Melbourne five-piece bring the full PA, mics and lighting, so a venue only needs to hand over a stage area of roughly three by three metres. They'll work with less if that's what the room allows. Between sets they keep music going, and they'll build a Spotify playlist around your event if you'd rather the room never fell quiet. Sets run in 40 and 45 minute blocks, one through to four depending on the night.

Side Project cover a lot of ground and the run of songs is deliberately mixed so nobody in the room sits out the whole night. Singing along, dancing, or just tapping a foot at the table, they'll take any of it. They can bring the full PA, microphones and lighting themselves. Music keeps playing between sets, and they'll put together a Spotify playlist shaped around your event for the meal or the formalities.
On the day
They need a stage or a clear area to set up in, and around three metres by three is what they'd prefer. That said, they're not precious about it. If your venue simply doesn't have that much room, they'll look at the space and work out how to fit, so tell them what you actually have rather than ruling yourself out.
Performance options
For a pub, bar or cafe in metropolitan Melbourne, you can book one, two or three sets of 45 minutes. For a bigger job, an RSL or sports club, a wedding, a party, a festival, an outdoor event or a public holiday eve, there's a four by 40 minute option on top of the same one, two and three set choices. How long your night runs decides which one you want.
