Shaleena works the Gold Coast as a singer and MC with a vintage lean: jazz, cabaret, swing and the golden age Hollywood repertoire, plus 1940s and 50s harmony material with a trio. She can host as well as sing, which saves you booking two people to keep a night moving. Options include an Australian female icons show and a Hollywood glamour cabaret. She'll bring a full PA or use yours, and asks for a well-lit performance area around 3m by 3m plus somewhere to change. Public liability cover is held for the solo act and the trio.

Good to know
What to expect
Shaleena sings vintage and hosts, which saves you hiring two people to keep a night moving. The voice covers jazz, cabaret, vintage harmonies and the bigger ballads, and the show gets shaped to suit the mood in front of her rather than run to a fixed script. As an MC she keeps things flowing with charm and enough wit to hold a room between courses. There's a cabaret celebrating iconic Australian women, a jazz and golden age Hollywood glamour show, and 1940s and 50s material with a trio. Corporate, private, festival or gala, the performance stays polished and the room stays interactive.
On the day
She can supply a full PA, or work with the venue's. If it's yours, she needs a system suited to the room, a good microphone with wireless preferred for the hosting, and a monitor or in-ear feed so she can hear herself. Larger events want an audio technician. The performance area should be well lit, ideally with stage lighting for the cabaret shows, and no smaller than nine square metres, plus somewhere private to change. Backing tracks play over USB, AUX or Bluetooth, so power outlets nearby and a sound check before doors.
Performance options
The solo vintage cabaret runs an hour of 1930s to 1960s material, Hollywood jazz, swing and golden age classics performed in period style, and it suits cocktail parties and smaller themed events. The tribute to Australia's great female artists is a full show with three vocalists, covering Olivia Newton-John, Kylie Minogue, Helen Reddy and others, built for festivals, corporate functions and large celebrations. The 1940s swing show puts the same trio in authentic period dress through Andrews Sisters harmonies, boogie-woogie and wartime hits, with optional dance interludes. There's also a modern duo show running three hours of pop, dance and party material from the 70s onwards, two vocalists and plenty of harmony, which suits weddings and venues wanting a whole night covered.
