Good to know
What to expect
The set list is rehearsed and chosen for the event you're actually holding, which sounds obvious until you've sat through a performer running their usual list at a wedding. Weddings get a tailored list built for the day. For other events you can put forward up to five song requests, and more than that where there's enough notice to rehearse them properly. Replies come back quickly, and the back and forth continues from the first enquiry right through to the day itself, so nothing about the music is left to chance.
On the day
Two metres square covers it. room for the equipment and the setup. A chair or stool is needed, or two where you've booked the duo option. Two power outlets should be within reach of the performance spot. Small requirements, but worth checking against your floor plan early, because a corner that looks big enough on paper occasionally isn't once the tables go in.
