Matt Landi plays tenor and alto saxophone, and the pitch is Sinatra with a modern edge. Dynamic solos over well-known pop songs one moment, improvising across a jazz standard the next: Fly Me to the Moon, La Vie En Rose, Georgia On My Mind, What a Wonderful World. He graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has since continued his saxophone studies in London. Recent work includes playing with the Casablanca Jazz Orchestra in packed vintage theatres around Sydney, and a Mardi Gras rooftop party. He performs to tracks through a speaker, or plugs a wireless mic into the sax to roam among guests for weddings and entrances. He'll tailor the set to whatever your event needs.

On the day
He performs to tracks through a speaker, so a power outlet is the ideal starting point. Outdoors with nothing to plug into, a portable speaker does the job instead. If the venue has its own speakers and a mixer, mention it, because the sax mic and the tracks can run straight into the house system and there's one less rig to find room for. At larger events he clips a wireless mic to the saxophone and roams among guests, which works nicely for arrivals and wedding entrances. For smaller bookings he brings his own gear.
