Paul has been playing long enough to know when a room wants saxophone in the background and when it wants the volume up. Love ballads through to smooth grooves is his own description, with pop, soul, funk, reggae and classics inside that. He'll sit underneath the conversation at a corporate dinner or drive a private party along, and he's worked enough weddings and functions to understand where music has to fit around speeches and formalities. Before the day he'll talk through what you're trying to achieve, which is usually where the difference gets made.
On the day
A performance area of roughly three metres by three, out of the weather, with a backup spot if the sky looks doubtful. Power is preferred for amplification, though a battery powered system is an option where there's no outlet. He also asks for sensible access and somewhere to park so the gear comes in without a scramble.
