What to expect
Rory starts by asking what your event actually needs, which more acts should do. Quiet and low while people are eating and talking, then up and properly loud when the room is ready for it: he moves the playlist as the night moves. He brings all his own equipment, and he dresses for whatever you're hosting rather than turning up in gig clothes to a formal dinner. The whole approach is built around causing you as little work as possible. Give him a spot and a power point and he handles the rest.
On the day
A power socket, and a flat dry patch to stand on. If you've got him outside, he'll need cover from sun or rain, which is worth sorting early rather than on the morning when the forecast turns. He carries everything else himself and doesn't need much floor, so a small corner will do.
Performance options
There's no fixed menu here. Rory quotes on what your event needs, because a two hour restaurant night and a full wedding day aren't the same job.
